Memphis Depay has been demoted to
Manchester United’s U21s side for tonight’s
clash with Norwich City after the winger’s
cameo appearance against Chelsea
yesterday.
The Dutchman infuriated United fans by
losing the ball before Diego Costa’s late
leveller at Stamford Bridge.
The 21-year-old was a late substitute for
Jesse Lingard but his failure to find Morgan
Schneiderlin in a three-on-one situation led
to United throwing away a crucial win.
And, in what could be seen as punishment
for the winger’s loss of possession, the
former PSV man will start alongside
youngsters such as James Weir and Josh
Harrop in tonight’s clash.
