A full panel of Nigeria’s Supreme Court of Nigeria sitting in Abuja, on Friday, sacked the senators and members of the House of Representatives from Anambra State. The decision swept away a host of lawmakers from Anambra State, including the Senator representing Anambra North Senatorial District, Stella Oduah and her counterpart representing Anambra South Senatorial District, Andy Ubah. Also affected are members of the House of Representatives elected on the ticket of the PDP. Andy Ubah and Stella Oduah Chris Uba, younger brother to Andy Uba, and Prince Emeka are expected to take over seats vacated by Andy Uba and Stella Oduah respectively. Former Senator Annie Okonkwo is in line to represent the PDP in a forthcoming election to fill a senatorial seat held by Uche Ekwunife who was sacked last December by the Court of Appeal. Today’s ruling by the Supreme Court upheld an earlier decision by Justice Chukwu of the Federal High Court laying out the proper procedures for selection of the PDP’s legislative candidates. In December 2014, the Federal High Court had ruled that it was only the constitutionally recognized state party leadership led by Ejike Oguebego that could organize the party primaries. The Supreme Court’s ruling today, reaffirmed the High Court’s verdict, declaring that the Ejike Oguebego-led PDP executive had the sole right to hold the primaries in Anambra State. PDP zones chairmanship position to north.

The National Executive Committee, NEC, of Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, yesterday approved the retention of the chairmanship of the party to the North, setting the stage for continuation of Senator Ali Modu Sheriff in office. Alimodu-Sheriff Addressing journalists after the meeting of the committee, national chairman of the party, Senator Ali Modu Sheriff, said members of NEC approved all the recommendations of its zoning committee, headed by the governor of Akwa Ibom State, Emmanuel Udom. Other positions zoned were those of national auditor, national publicity secretary and Secretary of the party which were zoned to the South West, while the position of deputy national chairman was zoned to the South South. Prominent members of the party from the South West, such as Bode George, Ebenezer Babatope and others were, however, not in attendance at the meeting. Some members of the party in the South West had canvassed that the position of the national chairman be zoned to the region, arguing that the zone had never produced the leadership of the party since its formation.

Is Olusola Saraki Curse Responsible For His Son's Trial

Is Saraki’s father’s curse truly the reason behind his current
political misfortune?April 17, 2016 3:56 pm“Bukola you
made me cry today after all I did for you as a son that I love
so much you will be disgraced out of this game of politics
except if am not your father”. …Olusola Saraki, after bing
hand twisted by his Son from the Godfather of Kwara
politics. From Left to Right: Olusola Saraki, Governor
Abdulfatah Ahmed, and Senator Bukola SarakiSaraki’s
political dynasty in Kwara:The Saraki’s Dynasty is a political
dynasty which had it origin in Ilorin, Kwara state and Dr.
Abubakar Olusola Saraki is the founder. Olusola Saraki first
ventured into politics in 1964, contestedelection for
parliamentary election for Ilorin as an independent
candidate, but lost. 14 years after he lost his first election,
Saraki returned back to politics in 1977 when he was elected
as a member of constituent Assembly that produced the
1979 constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. In
establishing what is today known as the Saraki’s
dynasty,Olusola Saraki after himself, supported Alhaji
Adamu Atta who came from the minority ethnic group in
hisbid to become the first civilian Governor in kwara state in
1979,the support he provided paid off as Atta emerges
Governor. In 1983, Cornelius Olatunji Adebayo through
Olusola Saraki’s support became the second
civiliangovernor of the state.Saraki nominated Saba lafiaji in
1992 and he won the governorship under General Ibrahim
Babangida’s regime, before the taken over by General Sani
Abacha in 1993.Also, Upon returning to civilian rule in 1999
after the demise of General Sani Abacha, Saraki annointed
Late Admiral Mohammed Alabi Lawal who became the
governor under the platform of APP where Saraki was a
member of the Board of Trustee. Having went on
loggerhead with Lawal,Saraki decamped from ANPP to PDP
and nominated his biological son Dr. Abubakar Bukola
Saraki to become the Governor in 2003,Saraki’s son
emerges against the incumbent Governor.Transition in
PowerIn 2011, things fell apart between father and son,
asboth has divergent interest on who is to lead state in that
year’s governorship election. The senior Saraki lead his
daughter, Gbemi Sarakito depart the PDP to a new platform
(ACPN) with no structure to contest for thegovernorship
position, while his son anointed his own candidate and
remain at the PDP. At the conclusion of the election, Alh
Abdulfatah Ahmed emerged as executive Governor, which
shows the end of the Olusola Saraki’s era, thereby placing
Bukola Saraki as the new determinant factor in thekwara
polity. The outcome of the new political regime did not go
down well with the senior Saraki, and was reported to have
placed curse on his son who is the current Senate
President. Senator Bukola Saraki is currently battling heavily
to save his face at the Code of Conduct Tribunal
(CCT).Bukola Saraki is being tried by the CCT for false
declaration of asset, in forms he filed before the Code of
Conduct Bureau while he was governor ofKwara state. Will
this supposed cursed placed on the Senator Bukola Saraki,
by his father ends the long reign of Saraki’s dynasty in
kwara state? Time will tell..

Do You Know Africans Found America

Americans Insecure of African Ingenuity
(Read history and find out why an Average America would regard Africans as Traits)

Of course, some Western historians continue to refute this fact because, consciously or unconsciously, they are still hanging on to the 19th-century notion that seafaring was a European monopoly.
After all, history will tell you that seafaring is the quintessential European achievement, the single endeavor of which Europeans are awfully proud. Seafaring allowed Europe to conquer the world. The notion that black Africans braved the roaring waters of the Atlantic Ocean and beat Europeans to the New World threatens a historically white sense of ownership over the seas.

Historically, the African people have been exceptional explorers and purveyors of culture across the world. Throughout all of these travels, African explorers have not had a history of starting devastating wars on the people they met. The greatest threat towards Africa having a glorious future is her people’s ignorance of Africa’s glorious past.

Pre-Columbus civilization in the Americas had its foundation built by Africans and developed by the ingenuity of Native Americans. Sadly, America, in post-Columbus times, was founded on the genocide of the indigenous Americans, built on the backs of African slaves and continues to run on the exploitation of workers at home and abroad.

Clearly, Africans helped civilize America well before Europeans “discovered” America, and well before Europeans claim to have civilized Africa. The growing body of evidence is now becoming simply too loud to ignore. It’s about time education policy makers reexamine their school curriculums to adjust for America’s long pre-Columbus history.

The worst that happened to Africans is mental slavery. The Americans and co reformatted their original view of themselves to what it is now! They made the Africans believe that they are not better without the Whites whereas the Truth is the other way round.
Look, today they turned around and claimed father and mother of Civilization
Lesson: Don't give your subject an avenue to brand you!
Can you stop talking evil and degrading things about our culture and tradition?
Can you Respect and Value our Traditions and Values?
The more you down talk ourselves, the more we are giving them power over us!

Rest in perfect:former Local Government of mushin

Rest in perfect peace to the former Local govt chairrman  of mushin ajina Local Government, it was very shocking  when we heard the death of HON Babatunde Adepitan exactly 7am last night. May Almighty Allah grant him alijana Fridau.
Talk of the moment  CEO comrade Akanbi Azeez Olalekan  sympathises with the family of HON Adepitan

Lets love at part of what he had experienced as chairma
Chairman, Mushin Local Government Area, Hon.
Babatunde Adepitan has said that he was chased out of
the Ladipo Market on various occasions in his bid to
ensure peace at the market.
He further said that the Aguiyi Ironsi Market had to meet
certain conditions for it to be re-opened because it was
very problematic.
“Out of the 36 units in Ladipo Market, others are law-
abiding and very coordinated except for environmental
nuisance. But Aguiyi Ironsi had issues we had to address
before it was re-opened. The leadership of the market
had some issues that bothered on power tussle which; if
not properly addressed, could lead to perpetual chaos
which could also degenerate to a serious problem. So,
that was why it was shut down.
On allegations that he was using his powers to intimidate
the traders, Adepitan said such claims were unfounded,
adding that he was even helpless in handling the
situation, just as he alleged that the embattled market
leader, Jonathan Okolie was the cause of the problems,”
he said.
The council chief also disclosed that there were
instances of breakdown of law and order because the
chairman of the traders’ association was alleged to be
hell-bent on being in power forever.
He said: “A market where there is no peace; where we
have ‘Bakassi Boys’; where a leader imposes himself on
the people as he allegedly refused to conduct elections or
handover power after his tenure had elapsed in 2009;
where people are allegedly killed and maimed is very
uncomplimentary. The market being within my local
government, do you expect me to go to sleep? I think
that gentleman’s intention was to make himself a life
president. That was why he was ready to go after
anyone who opposes his ambition.
“The way he was going, Okolie wanted to take Aguiyi
Ironsi Market from the local government. Imagine an
individual having the intention of taking over
government’s property by force? And the worst part of it
all was that he allegedly went about dishing out false
propaganda that the market belongs to the Igbo and that
the Yoruba wanted to take it away.
“The issue remains that Okolie had allegedly chased a lot
of the traders out of their shops with the help of his
‘Bakassi Boys,’ who he stationed in the market. There
are so many aggrieved parties there. And anyone who
says I use my office or powers to intimidate him must be
a joker. This is because, as the chairman, there were
instances I went to the market and I was almost chased
out by the hoodlums Okolie stationed there.
“During one of my visits to the market, he mobilised
people to be singing ‘we don’t want you; you want to
steal our market.’
The question here is who owns the market if the local
government that is the real owner is now labelled the
thief? All documents to show that Aguiyi Ironsi is owned
by Mushin Local Government are available.
“Another problem is that the ‘Bakassi Boys’ that Okolie
brought in to foment trouble allegedly slept inside the
market, which is against the law. A market place is not a
residential place. But he believes that once those boys
are there, nobody can overthrow him because they are
fully armed. It was also alleged that he has a shrine in
that market. If it is true, that indicates that he was using
every power to remain as the traders’ leader.
“If you cast your mind back, you will recall that it took
the courage of the chairman of the Special Taskforce to
enter into that market before those boys were arrested.
The ‘Bakassi Boys’ were alleged to have threatened even
the police. They were always dressed on red T-shirts
with red caps and were always armed.”
He said the local government was not able to handle the
situation because the situation needed the deployment of
massive security apparatus, which no local government
can afford.
“The local government is a third tier government which
does not have the machinery to enforce certain level of
order. We only have power in the paper and I can show
you copies of letters I have written to the law
enforcement agencies, including the Inspector-General of
Police (IGP). The security apparatus the state
government deployed the day the market was shut could
not be mustered by any local government.
On the actual cause of the crisis at Aguiyi Ironsi,
Adepitan said the crisis that rocked the market started
before his tenure, “even though it became worse
following some clandestine ploys by some unscrupulous
individuals to hijack Aguiyi Ironsi Market, which is the
sole property of Mushin Local Government Area.
“That land was allocated to Mushin Local Government
Area by the former governor, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu. Since
markets are under the pueview of the local government
areas, the state handed over the land to Mushin Local
Government Area. The local government at that time was
said to have entered into a 25-year lease agreement with
a developer, the late Alhaji Hassan Olajoku, who
represented Paramo Company, to develop and manage
the place. It was agreed that he must remit a certain
percentage of the revenue to the local government on
monthly basis.
“Along the line, Paramo allegedly could not develop the
place and he was said to have invited some traders in
the market to participate in the development of the area.
Paramo had a separate agreement with them which was
to build and manage for 12 years. We were not party to
the agreement but from my understanding, it appears
both parties agreed that the traders will build, manage
and pay a certain monthly percentage to Paramo for 12
years. Paramo will, in turn, remit some money to the
local government on monthly basis.
“The trouble there has been affecting our internally-
generated revenue (IGR). It was alleged that Okolie did
not allow Paramo to operate in order to pay us our
money. In such situation, you do not expect us to fold
our arms when our interest is affected. All we were
interested in was that elections should be conducted so
that peace will reign and everyone will be happy.”
On how he intends to ensure peace and security,
Adepitan said all the stakeholders have signed an
agreement, adding that he was consulting with
stakeholders at the Aguiyi Ironsi on the way forward.

I was not stoned over Buhari – Sen Misau

ABUJA — SENATOR Isa Misau, yesterday, denied reports
that he was stoned, weekend, by his constituents for
purportedly working against President Muhammadu Buhari.
Misau, who represents Bauchi Central on the platform of the
ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, was reportedly
attacked for his staunch support for the Senate President,
Bukola Saraki, said to be against Buhari’s interest.
PRESIDENT BUHARI
But the senator, in a statement, yesterday, said nothing of
such happened even as he admitted that he was in his
constituency at the weekend.
He said: ”The news rapidly gaining attention in the media
about a purported incidence at Ningi Local Government
Area, Bauchi State, while I was on a routine consultation
exercise with party leaders and constituents in Bauchi
Central Senatorial District, has come to my notice.
“While it is true that I did visit Ningi as part of my
constituency activities over the weekend, there was no
incidence of violence against me as fictitiously reported by
an online news agency, which alleged that I was stoned by
my constituents. It simply did not happen.”

Jonathan’s cousin initiates contempt proceedings against Magu

ABUJA — Cousin to former President Goodluck Jonathan,
Azibola Robert, has initiated contempt proceedings against
chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes
Commission, EFCC, Ibrahim Magu, before an Abuja High
Court, over alleged refusal to release him, having been in
the custody of the commission since March 23, 2016,
despite the order of court for his release.
Trial judge, Justice Olasunbo Goodluck, had on April 7,
2016, after listening to counsel to Robert, Chief Chris Uche,
SAN and Gordy Uche, SAN, ordered the commission to
immediately release  Robert from detention.
But following the refusal to release him, despite the court
order, Robert, through his counsel, initiated contempt
proceeding against Magu.
In the form 48, Magu is being warned of the consequences
of the continued disobedience of the orders of court.
Also, counsel to Roberts, Uche, had in a letter to the EFCC
chairman, regretted that despite being served with the two
orders of the court, the commission had refused to obey the
order and had continued to detain his clients 10 days after
the said court order and in defiance of the court.
Uche said: “This is regrettable, considering the fact that the
government is one that has stated its commitment to
respect for the rule of law and has pledged to prosecute the
war against corruption within the ambit of the rule of law.
"It must also be remembered that it is before the same
courts of this country that your commission arraigns and
will arraign suspects.
“We, therefore, request that you release our clients forthwith
as ordered by the court. Permit us to add  that we shall be
compelled to commence committal proceedings before the
court if the court’s order is not complied with in line with
your commission’s motto that no one is above the law.”
The EFCC had on March 23, arrested Robert over alleged
diversion $40 million through One-Plus Holdings, a sister
company of Kakatar Construction and Engineering Company
Limited, meant for securing oil pipelines.
The payment was said to have been made by the detained
former National Security Adviser, NSA, Col. Sambo Dasuki
(retd).
Frustrated by his prolonged detention, Robert, through his
lawyer,  Uche approached the court for the enforcement of
his fundamental rights.
In a motion ex-parte dated and filed on April 5 and brought
pursuant to Order 5 Rules 3 and 4 of the fundamental rights
(Enforcement Procedure) Rules 2009, Section 35 of the 1999
Constitution (as amended), Uche (SAN) prayed the court to
make “an order granting his client an interim bail, pending
his arraignment before a court of law by the respondent,
EFCC, or pending the determination of the substantive
motion in this suit,” which was granted by the court.

More power outage coming as Eko, Ikeja DISCOs receive less megawatts

lagos —INDICATION emerged yesterday that the erratic
electricity supply in Lagos might worsen following alarm by
both Eko Electricity Distribution Company, Eko DISCO and
Ikeja Electricity Distribution Company, Ikeja DISCO, over
continuous drop in megawatts allotted them by the
Transmission Company of Nigeria, TCN.
This came as the siege on Ikeja DISCO by consumers led
Citizens’ Access to Electricity Initiatives, CATEIN, and
Federation of Informal Workers of Nigeria, FIWON, over
poor service among others including crazy bills continued
for a four day running without any end in sight.
Spokesmen for the Eko and Ikeja DISCOs, Mr Godwin
Idemudia, and Mr. Felix Ofulue, lamented that they were
having challenges in power distribution across their
networks, due to insufficient allocations of megawatts from
TCN.
According to Ofulue: “The power supply is gradually going
down across our networks as we are engaged in serious
load-shedding because of the non-availability of energy
which has to be rationed based on what we receive.
''For the past one week, we had received between 343
megawatt and 268 megawatt. But for the past two days,
since the picketing of our facilities, we have received 169
megawatts. This is because the system has to be shut
down due to no operations.''
Meanwhile, speaking on their resolve to continue the siege
on Ikeja DISCO, Mr Joseph Emmanuel, General Secretary,
CATEIN, insisted they would not stop the picketing until the
company met their demand.
Others are; estimated billing for customers without meter;
faulty transformers and breakers; poor relationship with
customers; unfriendly attitude to labour and rickety
distribution network.
“The poor supply of power currently being experienced by
customers on its network is as a result of the inability of the
company’s technical personnel to access Business Units,
Undertakings Offices and sub stations following the
barricading of entrances and exits of all operational
locations within the Ikeja Electric Network.”

PDP zoning: Members threaten parallel convention

ABUJA — The zoning of the chairmanship position in the
Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has sharply divided
members of the party, with some leading stakeholders
vowing to hold a parallel convention should the
chairmanship position be zoned to the North-East.
The disagreement came to a head, Tuesday, when the
meeting of the committee on the zoning of positions in the
party was stalemated and adjourned indefinitely.
Party sources told Vanguard that associates of the
incumbent chairman, Senator Ali Modu Sheriff, were
bringing pressure on all to zone the office to the North-East.
According to sources in the party, while a few governors in
the party want the chairmanship position zoned to the
North-East, other members of the party, including some on
the Board of Trustees, BoT, are opposed to this position and
have vowed to organize a parallel convention, if the position
is zoned to the North-East.
The sources said the decision by the Governor Udom
Emmanuel-led committee on zoning to retain the position in
the North-East has pitched the committee against some
major forces in the party, who believe that zoning the
position to the North-East was just a formula to allow the
incumbent to retain the position.
According to a member of the BoT, the selection of
members of the zoning committee is carefully done to
ensure that the zoning favoured the incumbent chairman,
Senator Ali Sheriff.
“We are aware of the intrigues going on but we will not
allow that to happen. We know that some governors,
especially that of Ekiti State, are working hard to retain the
zoning to the North-East.
"What he failed to understand is that the party took a
decision long time ago to zone the Presidency to the North
and the party chairman to the South-West.
"How can the President and the party chairman come from
the same zone? It is not going to work. We in the South-
West are ready to take what belongs to us and we will not
trade our right for a pot of porridge,” the member, who does
not want to be identified, said.

EFCC clears CCT Chairman, Umar of N10m bribery

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission has
cleared the Chairman of the Code of Conduct Tribunal, CCT,
Justice Dandali Umar, of any culpability in the N10 million
bribery allegation leveled against him.
The clearance was formally conveyed by the EFCC to
Justice Umar in a letter signed by the Secretary of the
commission,  Emmanuel Adegboyega Aremo.
The letter was addressed to the Secretary to the
Government of the Federation.
The clearance, according to a document obtained by
Vanguard, followed the inability of the commission to
establish a prima facie evidence against Umar.
Umar was investigated by the anti-graft agency over
allegation that he demanded N10 million bribe from a retired
Customs officer, Rasheed Owolabi, who was said to have
had issues with the CCT. He is said to have collected the
sum of N1.8 million from Owolabi through the account of
his Special Assistant, Ali Gambo Abdullahi.
However, the EFCC said that after investigating the case for
sometime, it became clear that the whole allegation
bordered in the realm of mere suspicion and that it would be
difficult to charge the CCT judge to court based in the
allegation.
The latest clearance letter was second to the one sent on
March 5,2015 during President Goodluck Jonathan's
administration.

I Will Deal With Toyin Aimakhu Wherever I Set My Eyes On Her- Toyin Aimaku ex Boy friend Seun Egbegbe

the actress allegedly hurt him. In an interview
culled from Punch, Mr Seun kept to his last
threat that no Yoruba movie producer must deal
with Toyin Aimakhu or they will have themselves
to blame and also made a new threat saying, he
will definitely deal with her wherever he sets his
eyes on her. He then gave another shocker when
asked why he started flaunting his relationship
with the actress shortly after she broke up with
her husband, saying to his best of his knowledge,
himself and Toyin’s estrange husband, Niyi
Johnson are friends and even greet when they
spot each other. Lobatan! The interview after the
cut.
Read the interview below:
He said:
By the way, I am off to church. Don’t wanna be
late today as usual, not so good as a child of
God especially when you claim you love Him.
Let’s all go praise his Holy name, and thank him
for all He has done. Our being alive is because
He is God. Cheers!

Linda Ikeji: I Took Wizkid To Police In Lagos Because Of These

My issue with Wizkid...why I took the case to the police
I'm sure many of you have read that the police is now
involved in my issue with Wizkid. Yes, I reported his
public threat to me two Sundays ago to the Lagos State
Commissioner of Police and I want to explain why I did it!
Please pay attention and keep an open mind.
I've read a lot online from people saying I don't like
Wizkid. Even Wizkid himself thinks I don't like him. Why
he or anyone would think so is puzzling to me to be
honest. Apart from his achievements after he started
insulting me online a few weeks ago...everything else,
every success Wizkid has recorded in the last 3/4 years
is on LIB. All the awards, all the record breaking feats, his
sold out concerts, his foreign magazine features, and
collaborations, everything that has built him up to the
young man he is today is on LIB. Please verify! Search
my blog. Please continue...
I was a huge Wizkid fan. The only song I danced harder
to than his 'Dance For Me' track was Fuse ODG's
'Antenna and Kiss Daniel & DJ Shabzy's Raba. So, no, I
had no dislike for Wizkid. But about a year ago, I noticed
his indirect snide remarks at me...and when some other
music star beefed with me, Wizkid showed his support
and made disrespectful comments. That was when I
noticed he had issues with me... but that didn't stop me
from writing about him and celebrating him.
Now to the issue at hand. When I reported that he was
served quit notice at his Lekki home, I stated fact and I
didn't write it out of malice. It's not everyday you get
exclusive stories...and I'm sure any other blogger who
got the story first would also have published it. So, there
was no beef, I was just doing my job. A day or so after I
wrote this story, Wizkid went on my instagram page to
call me names and lied that I slept with some director of
his...which I have said before is 1000% lies! But the
insult and lies is not why the police is now involved.
Here's the thing; You can insult me, insult my family, call
me any names you like, even lie that I slept with your
forefathers...but don't threaten me. If you threaten me, I
will act!
I read people online saying that I reported to the police
because I am scared of Wizkid. No, my darlings, I am not
afraid of Wizkid. Though I do not take his threats lightly. I
went to the authorities for two reasons...and please
young boys of our generation, pay attention to what I am
about to write below.
You see, violence against women and threat of violence
against women is not okay. Threatening harm to
someone in a public space is a criminal act in every
country of the world, including Nigeria. I bet some of you
didn't know that, yeah? You can not publicly threaten
someone with harm. You will only get away with it if your
victim doesn't report to the authorities. If they do, you will
have a case with the police and I promise you, the police
take these things seriously.
I reported this case to the authorities because I want our
young men to know this is not okay. You should not raise
your hands on a woman. You shouldn't even threaten to
raise your hands on a woman. Wizkid wrote that he would
send his 16 year old cousin to beat the poo out of me.
Letting Wizkid get away with it is basically telling our
young men that this is okay...and it's not!
After Wizkid made the threat to me, I saw a lot of teen
boys hailing and applauding him. To them, this was okay.
If their idol can threaten a woman with harm, and use
derogatory words, they also can do it...and that's how the
circle of abuse of women continues. Women being called
'smelly Kitty-Cat' trended online for a day or two! Little
boys were happy to use the words. Sad!
It is appalling to me that anyone, especially women,
would cheer Wizkid on. When he wrote RIP Linda, I saw a
few young girls write same, laughing. This is not a
laughing matter. It doesn't matter whether you like me or
not! This is not about Linda Ikeji. This is about abuse of
women which has eaten deep into our society, so deep
that it has now been accepted as normal. Men do it all the
time and get away with it. So many women are battered
by their husbands and they refuse to speak up because of
the stigma. They refuse to seek help because they are
afraid of what people will say. I am sorry, I am not one of
those women. I refuse to be victimized. And as long as I
have my voice and my platform, I will speak up.
We women have to come together to lend a strong voice
to the plight of women in our continent. When we see a
woman being physically and mentally abused, let's act.
Let's speak up. Let's not laugh and say she deserves it.
If we continue to keep quiet, the circle of abuse will
continue. And one day, You, yes You, will find yourself in
the receiving end of a thundering slap, followed by heavy
blows. If not you, then maybe your daughter? Let's
condemn violence and threat of violence against women!
This is not acceptable!
Young men like Wizkid, a father of two young boys
himself, should never advocate violence against women.
One day, he will have a daughter, how would he feel if
another male threatens to put hands on her or even calls
her a hoe?
I can't count how many times Wizkid called me a hoe in
his rant against me. That's what boys do. When they get
into a fight with a woman, they try to slut-shame her.
Smelly Kitty-Cat, hoe, ashawo etc. You call a woman,
who gave another young woman, whose real name she
doesn't even know N500,000 just because she said she
would rather work by carrying cement than prostitute
herself, that's the person you call a hoe? When your mind
is so warped you can't differentiate between a woman
and a hoe, then this is what happens. Except you drive to
Sanusi Fanfuwa at 2am to pick up a prostitute, who
proudly describes herself as one, then you shouldn't call
any woman a hoe.
Even Tupac who was a well known thug could
differentiate between the types of women he dealt with.
When asked in an interview why he called women bitches,
he said people shouldn't confuse things, that he wouldn't
address a mother or a sister the way he would address a
Dam, that the bitches were the ones he dealt with in the
clubs who behaved like one. He reiterated that he
respected women!
In more civilized countries, Wizkid would have lost his
endorsements and spent the next year or so apologizing
and being in the fore-front of promoting anti-violence
crusades against women. It took Chris Brown years to
get back on his feet after his assault on a woman. Up till
today, he doesn't have any major endorsements and
some countries still deny him entrance into their country
i.e Australia for something he did 7 years ago. Yes,
violence against women is serious!
And there's the case of incitement. When you have power
and influence, you have to be careful what you say in
public. Because you have such power, something you say
can influence your followers. A fan can commit acts that
even you may not support or might not even condone.
But because it came out of your mouth, they think you
mean it. So it is irresponsible to say things that might be
inciteful. In Law, you can be held responsible when
people act based on what you said in public. Tupac was
charged to court and indicted after some thugs killed a
police officer. The thugs went to court and mentioned that
their idol encouraged violence against LA police officers
in a song where he said 'Drop a cop'. So, we folks with
some measure of influence should be more careful with
our utterances. People are watching and listening!
The second reason I filed a police report is to encourage
other women in similar situations to do same. My dear
ladies, if a man threatens to puts hands on you, and you
feel the threat is real, report to the authorities. Don't wait
until he does it. What if you don't survive it? If he's picked
up and may be charged to court (yes, you can be charged
to court for making threats...it's a misdemeanor with a
prison sentence), then he will think twice before making
threats against you in the future or any other woman for
that matter.
I went as far as I did for me and for other women. This is
to pass a strong message to our young men that these
kinds of behaviour towards women will not be tolerated.
Should not be tolerated. If you assault or even threaten to
assault a woman, the law will come after you if she
chooses not to be silent. Women, don't be silent. Let's
break the circle. For your sake, for my sake, for the sake
of our daughters, grand daughters, great grand daughters
and all other women that will follow them.
And that's really all I have to say in the matter. Thank
you guys for reading
And to Wizkid fans, please be rest assured that I wish him
all the best in life. He will continue to grow from strength
to strength (as long as he doesn't endorse violence
against women) and his light will never diminish. God
brought him to this level and will continue to keep him. I
have nothing but love for his craft and hope that one day,
we will put this behind us.
God bless him, me, you and everyone else in the world
Cheers.

Continue with your trial saraki says supreme court

A Federal High Court on Friday dismissed the application by
embattled Senate President Bukola Saraki seeking
nullification of his ongoing trial at the Code of Conduct
Tribunal.
Saraki having being brought before the tribunal has been
running from one court to the other trying to frustrate his
trial. The Appeal and Supreme courts recently told him to go
prove his innocence at the tribunal, but the senate president
started another around of application to stall his trial.
Has the time come for Saraki to resign as the senate
president?
Should Buhari save him?

U.S market Panics as Buhari signs deal with China

U.S market Panics as Buhari signs deal with
China

In a bid to bridge the widening gap between the
Naira and the Dollar in the Exchange rate market,
President Muhammadu Buhari, on Tuesday, April,
12, shocked foreign investors mainly from the
United States who have been accused of
stockpiling their money in dollars.
The President had consistently insisted that he
would not devalue the naira against the dollar
despite pressure from the International Monetary
Fund, IMF and the United States.
With the West insisting that the nation’s currency
must be devalued, which has always been part of
their conditions for assistance, the East (China)
has offered to rejuvenate the nation’s economy
by investing in capital projects across the
country.
During talks, China and Nigeria agreed to
strengthen military and civil service exchanges
as part of a larger capacity building engagement.
In line with this, China offered to raise it’s
scholarship awards to Nigerian students from
about 100 to 700 annually, while 1,000 other
Nigerians would be given vocational and
technical training by China annually.
According to the Senior Special Assistant to the
President on Media and Publicity, Garba Shehu,
the Chinese President, Xi Jinping also offered
$15 million agricultural assistance to Nigeria for
the establishment of 50 demonstration farms
across the country.
The offer was in response to Buhari’s vow to
make Nigeria self-sufficient in food production.
During Buhari’s visit to Beijing, the Industrial and
Commercial Bank of China Limited, the world’s
biggest lender, and the Central Bank of Nigeria
signed a Currency swap deal on yuan
transactions.
The implication according to the Director-Genera
l, African Affairs Department, China’s Foreign
Ministry, Lin Songtian, is that “Renminbi (yuan) is
free to flow among different banks in Nigeria,
and the renminbi has been included in the
foreign exchange reserves of Nigeria,”
The Minister of Finance, Mrs. Kemi Adeosun, had
said last week that Nigeria was looking at panda
bonds or yuan-denominated bonds sold by
overseas entities on the mainland, which she
noted would be cheaper than the dollar and the
Eurobonds.
An economic expert and Chief Executive Officer,
Cowry Asset Management Limited, Mr. Johnson
Chukwu, noted that the currency swap
agreement will allow Nigerian banks to issue
Letters of Credit in renminbi (yuan) in place of
the dollar or euro.
“It will facilitate trade deals between Nigeria and
China. The ongoing foreign exchange scarcity
has been affecting the amount of Nigeria’s
import from China.
“The new deal may ease pressure on the dollar,
since demand for yuan/renminbi will start rising,”
Chukwu said.
So far, most financial analysts have applauded
Buhari for the trade agreement with China; on
the other hand, China has also expressed
interest in setting up major projects in Nigeria
such as refineries, power plants, mining
companies, textile manufacturing, and food
processing industries as soon as the enabling
environment is provided by the Federal
Government.
Economic pundits have likened this agreement to
his 1984 military regime policy when he directed
the Apex Bank to cause a change in the colours
of the Nigerian currency.
The exercise was designed to render the money
alleged to have been stolen by Nigerian political
leaders useless in their hands.
In a bid not to devalue, Buhari according to
experts is seeking for a way to weaken the dollar
dominated currency by approving Yaun to be one
of the nation’s major foreign exchange
currencies.

Cynthia Morgan Forced To Use Taxis After Her Range Rover

Female reggae dancehall singer Cynthia Morgan whose
white Range Rover automobile was stolen a few weeks ago
has been spotted moving around in taxis. It is reported that
the singer is quite down psychologically and emotionally at
the moment. She has also decided to be indoors, keeping to
herself most of the time.
“But if it is important for her to go out, she takes taxis. I
actually understand her grief because she said goodbye to
that club barely six months ago when the Range Rover
arrived, but she is back to square one now. It hurts
everybody,” our source said.

The automobile with customized registration number KRUZZ
was stolen about two weeks ago from a compound in Omole
Phase1 where Cynthia’s driver parked it after dropping her
at the airport. The driver, who was later arrested by Cynthia
as a suspect, was the first to report the theft incident at
Grammar School police station, Ojodu, Lagos. Efforts by the
police to recover the vehicle have so far proved abortive.
Cynthia Morgan was away in Abuja as at the time of the car
theft.
God will give her another one soon! #fact

Laura Ikeji releases fun photos amidst Linda ikeji versus Wizkid beef | Fans query her

As we all know, Laura Ikeji, the younger
sister of blogger Linda Ikeji is the talkative
type..she doesn't take nonsense. When anyone
be it a celebrity or whosoever throws a jab at
her or her elder sister, Linda, she reacts

ignore many of the online tantrums, Laura
was the mouth piece and verbal defender.
Anyways, many of her fans kinda expected
her to react today to the online drama that
occurred between her elder sister and
Wizkid...but she didn't. Instead she shared
photos from her ongoing vacation with
captions like " Having an awesome time....hehehe fun

Of course, her fans began to query her...
